Owning a sunrise alarm gives you more control over your bedroom environment. Yet many alarm clocks offer sounds, music, or noise access that you may not always want to have when waking up in the morning. That’s where the MagicLight Pro Bluetooth Smart LED Light Bulb can come in to save the day. Controlled by a mobile device, it is an app-powered solution that allows you to simulate a sunrise with a single bulb or a series of bulbs.

There are no hubs required, controllers needed, and installing the light bulb is a very simple process. You can use 7-watt, 7.5-watt, or 10-watt light bulbs with this sunrise option.

Do You Really Receive Infinite Possibilities with the MagicLight LED Light Bulb?

The MagicLight BT app works on both Android and iOS devices. It can be somewhat difficult to find this app if you plan to use it from an iPad. You’ll need to remove the iPad only default search filter on the App Store in order to download this app.

Once you have it installed, you’ll find that using the Bluetooth LED light bulb is a pretty simple process. All you need to do is screw the light bulb into its fixture, power it on, and you’re ready to go.

You have multiple user options available to you outside of the sunrise or sunset feature. The Vacation Mode might be just as useful, allowing you to create individualized timers that offer variable timing on turning your lights on or off. This makes it seem like you are home, reducing the risk of a break-in.

The light bulb is rated to provide 40,000 hours of use. The full brightness of the 10-watt bulb is comparable to an 80-watt incandescent bulb.

Our Observations of the MagicLight Pro Bluetooth Smart LED Light Bulb

If you’re using older mobile devices, it will be impossible to use this product. You’ll need an iPhone 4s or higher, an iPad 3 or higher, or Android 4.3 or above.

It comes with 20 pre-programmed modes that are fun to use, including strobe lighting and cross fading. Setting up the sunrise and sunset simulations is virtually effortless, giving you about 30 minutes of brightening or fading so you can wake up in a natural way. You also have access to over 16 million different color options with the app’s color wheel.

You can also pickup favorite colors from your camera. Multiple bulbs can be controlled individually or together in a group.

Our Grade for the MagicLight Pro Bluetooth Smart LED Light Bulb: A

This LED bulb is slightly easier to use than comparable products and gives you more overall features that are useful. You can save 3 custom colors, adjust brightness with a simple slider, and have the freedom to wake up in the way that best suits you. It’s a good option for those with limited space or wants something less intrusive than a formal alarm clock in this category.
