If you’ve tried a wake-up light in the past and found yourself oversleeping, then you’re not alone. It can be difficult to wake up to a sunrise simulation when you’re used to a loud audio cue. The Lightismo Wake Up Light Alarm Clock gives you the best of both worlds. Not only do you receive the artificial dawn that you want, but also it gives you one of the loudest audio alarms that you’ll find in this category.

This way, you can transition gently with a light-based alarm or get out of a heavy slumber so that you’re not late for work. Oversleeping can be a thing of the past and you’ll still feel refreshed in the morning with this alarm clock option.

Here are the features that come with this specific Lightismo model.

  • You’re given 5 different nature sound options with this alarm clock: a river, birds, a rainforest, a farm, or ocean waves.
  • An FM radio has been including with this sunrise alarm.
  • The light can be set to 7 different colors and 10 different brightness levels so you can have the specific room ambience that you need.
  • You can power this wake-up light with a battery backup or a USB cable.
  • This is one of the few sunrise alarms that is backed by a lifetime guarantee.

What to Expect When Using the Lightismo Wake Up Light Alarm Clock

We found this sunrise simulator to be a functional and fun alarm clock to use. Although the settings are a little complicated, the setup is standard for this category of product. It took us about 15 minutes to get it up and running.

This is one of the few wake-up lights that will allow you to either pick one color or cycle through all the colors if you wish.

The time can be set to 12-hour or 24-hour configurations. You’ve got to be careful when pressing the buttons, however, because pressing multiple buttons can cause the device to malfunction.

Like most of the alarm clocks in this category, Lightismo has given this product a 2-minute audio alarm. That’s good enough for most people when combined with the light simulation. There is a noticeable different in the audio levels of the nature sounds compared to the FM radio. If you’re a heavy sleeper and this is your first sunrise alarm, then set the audio to the radio to ensure you wake up.

It doesn’t like to get bumped or jostled around much. We’d recommend finding a safe and secure location for this light and to just leave it there.

Our Grade for the Lightismo Wake Up Light Alarm Clock: A-

It’s nice to have a sunrise alarm that has a reasonably loud audio cue if needed. We did find that setting the alarm could sometimes be a bit difficult. You can inadvertently set it to the first default sound quite regularly. The overall brightness is comparable to other entry-level models. What really sets this product apart is its guarantee. Treat this sunrise alarm right and it will take care of you.
